Draper Utah Mold Damage Cleanup
Mold is often found to thrive best in moisture. Let The Flood Co. handle your Draper Utah mold damage cleanup needs.
Moisture and wet conditions can come into your Draper Utah home through a variety of sources; wet shoes after walking in the rain, leaky windows, leaky pipes, water coming in from the HVAC unit, a broken water heater, and a clogged toilet, just to name a few. These conditions could possibly feed and make possible the growth of mold and bacteria if these wet conditions are not met right away.
Mold grows in damp and dark places that are not always easily accessible. This could include under crawl spaces of your Draper Utah home, inside drywall, and deep down inside carpet fibers. They breed, grow, and spread where and when you least suspect it.
Currently, there are thousands of distinctive mold species, but none as potentially harmful to your home and your health as the Stachybotrys chartarum species, or more commonly known as “black mold” due to its dark or black green look.
Even if your home has black mold in it, there is still time to contact a professional mold removal technician. Professional mold removal technicians can test for and remove all kinds of mold from your Draper Utah home, especially black mold.
Mold inspection is the first step in the mold removal and remediation process. The technician is often times going to need to run inspect your Draper Utah home before mold removal and remediation can begin. A mold test may also be needed. This not only helps the technician determine what kind of molds are in your Draper Utah home, but also gives the technician a guide on how many mold spores were in the affected area before the remediation process and how many are in the affected area afterwards.
Once testing is completed and it is determined that mold removal is necessary, the technician is then sent back into the affected area with specialized equipment designed to remove– not kill– the mold spores in the affected area. This is far more effective than attempting to kill the mold spores completely, as it helps maintain and limit the amount of spores that are thrust into the air and allowed to spread to other areas of your Draper Utah home.
After mold removal and remediation is complete, the technician may be sent back in one more time to test the affected area. Certain guidelines and procedures require that if the mold spore count in the affected area exceeds a certain limit, further mold remediation must be performed in order to ensure that the job is complete and the area is healthy enough for normal activity once again.
The Flood Co. is here to help you get back to normal with our mold damage remediation experts. Give us a try and call us today to schedule a mold damage inspection.

Mold inspection in Sandy Utah. The picture is not the mold that we found, but of the roof which is one of the contributing factors. Ground water has been coming in the basement through the foundation. The ground near the home is saturated because of a negative slope towards the house and roof and rain gutter issues. A large section of the roof slopes toward a small rain gutter that is clogged from pi e needles and debris. It needs to be cleaned and monitored on a regular basis.
